Designed for secure and hygienic top-access to non-pressure vessels, the Aomite Sanitary Round Manhole Cover is an indispensable component for the food, beverage, wine, and pharmaceutical industries.
Manufactured from premium SS304 (1.4301) or SS316L (1.4404) stainless steel, this normal-pressure manway features a precision-machined handwheel mechanism that provides reliable axial sealing force. To ensure operator safety during maintenance, the intelligent hinge design prevents the cover from falling backward, holding it securely at 30 degrees beyond the vertical position. Equipped with FDA 177.2600 compliant gaskets and boasting an ultra-smooth internal polish of Ra 0.4µm - 0.8µm, it guarantees a leak-proof and completely sterile tank environment. Available in sizes from DN300 to DN600, with optional integrated sight glasses.

Safety Hinge (30-Degree Stop)
When an operator opens the round manhole cover for tank inspection or cleaning, a standard hinge might allow the heavy stainless steel lid to fall backward or slam shut accidentally. Our engineered hinge mechanism stops and secures the opened cover exactly 30 degrees above the vertical angle. This ensures the lid stays safely in place, preventing injury to maintenance personnel while working inside the vessel.
Position the Cover: Lower the manhole cover accurately onto the tank frame, ensuring the FDA-compliant gasket sits perfectly flush without twisting.
Engage the Handwheels: Align the locking mechanisms. Depending on the size, there can be up to 4 handwheel fixing devices.
Apply Axial Sealing Force: Tighten the handwheels evenly in a cross-pattern. This applies downward axial force, creating a tight seal between the gasket and the tank body to prevent any leakage of the pipe/tank contents.
