Pneumatic Piston Operation
As shown in our cross-section diagram, compressed air enters the actuator's supply port, pushing the internal piston upwards. This action lifts the stem shaft and the seat plug away from the 45-degree valve body, allowing fluid or steam to flow through freely. When the air pressure is removed, a heavy-duty spring (or reverse air flow) forces the plug back into the seat, creating a tight, bubble-free shutoff.
High Flow Rate (Cv): The 45° angle design creates a much straighter, less restricted flow path compared to standard globe valves, allowing significantly higher flow rates and reducing pressure drops.
Water Hammer Prevention: When installed with the flow direction under the seat, the angle seat valve closes smoothly against the flow, drastically reducing the destructive effects of water hammer in liquid lines.
Compact & Low Maintenance: The angled actuator configuration optimizes space in tight piping manifolds, and the spring-loaded stem packing requires almost zero maintenance over millions of cycles.
