Open the Door: Swing the manhole cover fully open and secure the hinge.
Remove the Old Gasket: Pull the old silicone gasket out of the U-shaped groove located on the inner rim of the cover.
Clean the Groove: Wipe the stainless steel groove with an approved sanitary cleaner to remove any sticky residues or moisture.
Insert New Gasket: Press the new FDA-approved silicone gasket evenly into the groove, starting from four opposite points to prevent stretching, ensuring a flush and airtight fit.
