Sterilizing Grade Filtration (0.2 / 0.22 Micron)
A 0.2-micron filter element is the industry standard for aseptic processing. As the fluid level drops inside a tank (or during cooling), the tank draws in outside air. The 0.2-micron breather safely traps airborne bacteria, microorganisms, and fine particulates, ensuring that the make-up air entering the tank is completely sterile, preventing contamination of food, beer, or pharmaceutical batches.
Assess Operating Environment: Dusty or high-humidity environments will clog the filter faster.
Monitor Pressure Drop: If the tank takes longer to drain or if a vacuum begins to form, the filter is clogged and must be replaced immediately.
Routine Replacement: For critical pharmaceutical applications, elements may be replaced after every SIP sterilization cycle. For general food and beverage tanks, inspect monthly and replace every 3 to 6 months.
