Y-Type Strainer vs. In-Line Filter: Which one should I use?

Y-Type Strainer (This Product)
The Y-shape creates a dedicated "pocket" or branch where heavy solid particles naturally fall and accumulate out of the main flow path. This is ideal for catching coarse debris (like hop matter or fruit pulp) in horizontal or downward-flowing vertical pipes. The pocket can often be fitted with a blow-off valve for easy purging without stopping the flow.
In-Line Filter
Fluid flows straight through the filter mesh. It causes less pressure drop but requires the pipeline to be shut down and the filter body to be opened to remove the accumulated debris. It is better suited for ultra-fine filtration (e.g., 500 mesh) in clean water lines.
