What is the difference between DIN 11851 and SMS standard sanitary elbows?

DIN 11851: This is the dominant standard in Europe (especially Germany). The tube dimensions are strictly based on metric millimeter measurements (e.g., DN25, DN40).
SMS (Swedish Manufacturing Standard): Widely used internationally in the dairy and food sectors. The tube dimensions are typically based on imperial inch outer diameters (OD) converted to metric.
Note: Always verify your existing pipeline's standard before ordering, as a DIN elbow will not perfectly align with an SMS tube, causing an unhygienic step at the weld seam.
