Achieve precise carbonation and accurate blow-off settings while fermenting under pressure with the Aomite Sanitary Tri-Clamp Spunding Valve (Bunging Device).
Supplied fully assembled and manufactured from premium AISI 304 stainless steel, this valve is essential for any pressure-rated stainless steel fermenter. It features an integrated in-line sanitary diaphragm pressure gauge that reads from 0-35 psi (0-2.5 BAR). The adjustable spunding mechanism itself is clearly scaled in both PSI and BAR, allowing for fine-tuned pressure control up to 32 psi (2.2 BAR). Standard 1.5" Tri-Clamp connection ensures a sanitary, leak-proof fit.
⚠️ FOR YOUR SAFETY: Never exceed the maximum rated working pressure of your vessel at any time during operation. The fixed-pressure safety relief valve (PRV) on your conical fermenter should always remain in place and operational while using this spunding valve.

Spunding Valve (Process Control)
A Spunding Valve is a highly adjustable process tool used by brewers to actively hold a specific pressure (e.g., 15 PSI) inside the tank for natural carbonation. It gently bleeds off excess CO2 produced by the yeast. However, it can become clogged by sticky yeast krausen during vigorous fermentation.
PRV (Emergency Safety)
A fixed-pressure PRV is an emergency safety device. It is not meant to be adjusted or used for carbonation. It is a fail-safe that strictly prevents the tank from exploding if the Spunding Valve gets clogged. You must never remove your PRV to install a spunding valve.
Sanitary Design: Standard threaded pressure gauges have tiny internal tubes (Bourdon tubes) where beer and bacteria can get permanently trapped. A diaphragm gauge features a flat, flexible stainless steel membrane that separates the gauge internals from the beer, eliminating dead legs.
Easy Cleaning: Because the fluid only touches the flat diaphragm, the entire valve and gauge assembly can be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized using standard CIP (Clean-In-Place) procedures without risking contamination.
